so, it was my epic endeavour for the last week of summer (besides finishing my schoolwork) was starting my sister's and my Halloween costumes. we love Halloween and we love to make really great costumes but we always leave it to the last minute and so they end up looking like shit...okay, maybe not shit, let's just go for crap. so anywho, we decided, "Hell, why not start our costumes early, make them look fabulous and rock the casbah!"

so long story short, i am making her costume, she's making mine.

I am the Mad Hatter and she is the Queen of Hearts (both from Alice in Wonderland).

they look awesome so far. i did all the hand-embroidery on her bodice and skirt and i've got a slashed sleeve thing going for her. my hat has been made as have my jacket, bowtie, and one of my leg warmers. things are going smoothly and i can't wait til Halloween!

now i am tired and must go...because it it 1:30 am over here in my neck of the woods and i am zonked. good morning!
